Mentorship program X Morgan & Christian

After a year in YP’s mentorship program 25/26, Mentor Morgan Fexby and Mentee Christian Benjumea Ulfsparre  share their experience. From the first meeting, they clicked on a deeper level, which laid the foundation for a truly meaningful mentorship.

Morgan’s interest in people combined with Christian’s curiosity made the mentorship especially valuable. Both emphasize the importance of approaching the program with authenticity, rather than striving for perfection.

As Morgan highlighted during the meeting “you lose so much energy by trying to be perfect. By being yourself you earn so much more”.

Throughout the program, they met approximately once a month. They keep the structure flexible and encourage future mentor pairs to not get too fixed on formal structures.  Over time, the mentorship evolved into a genuine friendship. Morgan highlights the open and trusted settings as one of the program’s strengths.

Christian describes Morgan as not only a mentor in professional matters but in all aspects of life. A quote that summarizes his experience of the year is “A solid mentoring experience where we kept things relaxed while achieving ambitious goals like developing two businesses simultaneously, learned from each other, connected for real and left a mark on both our professional and personal lives”.

For Morgan, the year is described as “An enriching, informal mentorship that supported mutual learning, genuine connection, and lasting impact, both professionally and personally.”

What started as a mentorship naturally became a supportive  friendship where making an effort to meet was never necessary. It simply felt natural. A friendship they both intend to maintain for many years to come, as they say during the meeting.
